Hello Landscape Community,

2023 Central Coast Beautification Awards were held on June 24th. We’ve posted the winners on our website. See the winners here. We had a great time at the Back Nine. There are lots of people to thank. First off, hats off to Andrew Tuckman, he was our MC and DJ. Thank you Andrew for all you do.

What are you up to this summer? How about learning how to manage the madness of running a business? Please register for our upcoming event: Managing the Madness, on July 25th in Watsonville at Graniterock’s Headquarters, more info/registration here.
Finally, make sure to read about the Habitat for Humanity Project and how it’s coming along, further on in this newsletter. If you’re interested in helping out there’s still time to get involved.

Progress is being made.
Update: Habitat for Humanity has completed units 70-80 and are currently working on units 90-100.
The Landscape Company secured the the majority of the plants needed to complete the project. They would like to thank Haydi Danielson at Boething Treeland Farms for donating those plants. Keaton would like to thank the Landscape Company for helping out. Here’s a little write up that they put together “Landscape Design—Planting Makes a House a Home.”
Some rough grading on the common area has been started, but there is still much work to be done there. We hope to complete that by August/September. If anyone would like to be part of that effort please let Keaton know.
Habitat for Humanity is continuing to reach out to see if there are any professional landscapers who would assist them in completing this common area.
Thank you!
