Ryan Gamboa—Jet Mulch Inc.

My name is Ryan Gamboa and I am vice president and co-owner of JetMulch Inc. I started working with JetMulch, Inc. in 2010 not long after graduating high school. I began at the end of the hose as a general laborer. My father, Mario Gamboa, would not have it any other way. He and his business partner at the time, Phil Reiker, felt it was important that I start by learning the basics in order to understand this very special service we offer. I quickly learned how to apply mulches, and moved on to operate a pump myself. Familiarizing myself with every aspect of the blower pump I was able to understand all there was to know, when it came to pneumatic application of landscape products. After four or five years of this I was promoted to the office where I began to learn how to estimate and project manage. With Phil and Mario as my mentors I was able to grasp this aspect of business rather quickly. I was fortunate to be part of the expansion from four blower pumps to eight and now twelve in Northern California. I was tasked by Phil and Mario to perfect the installation of aggregates, lightweight soil, bio retention soil, and top soil via blower pumps both on ground level and roof tops for Green Roof projects. I now can confidently say we have successfully innovated how landscape products are being installed on green roof projects and have successfully installed up to eight/nine stories high. A special thanks to my younger brother Brandon who has been my right hand man in this task.

I recently obtained my C-27 license as I was given the duty of replacing our best friend and mentor Phil Reiker, who tragically passed away last September 2020.

I am, at a young age, a father to two wonderful boys. Aiden who is 11 years old and Alexander who is 8 years old. My partner in crime both in business and life, Ariana, has been a great support to me. We love to take yearly trips to Cancun, Mexico and enjoy the beautiful beaches and culture and spend time together as a family.

We continue to expand our company and I am, humbly, at the forefront of this endeavor. I am excited for the future of JetMulch, Inc. as we continue to service our clients and continue to innovate ways to install landscape products via blower truck and/or slinger (conveyor belt system). I am excited to begin and continue building relationships with the CLCA members!
